Top Tips for Sensitive Skin
Having sensitive skin means that it becomes very difficult to find skincare products that won’t end in a red puffy face. Here at Buddha Beauty, we’ve put together our top tips in order lend a helping hand to those suffering from sensitive skin…
When you get yourself a new skincare product, take your time to do a small spot test behind your ear, then wait at least 24 hours. As the skin behind the ear is especially sensitive, it will be able to give an indication as to how the rest of your skin will react to the product in question without having to sacrifice the possibility of a full facial rash.
Keep your pores clear by washing your face gently only twice a day, as any more than this could be too much for sensitive skin. You don’t need to scrub your face really hard in order to remove make-up either, gently blotting the face will do just as good. Apply moisturiser straight afterwards to keep the skin hydrated.
Choose you're make up products wisely and always read the label. Having sensitive skin means that you are likely to be aware of the certain products which usually cause your skin to react. Foundation wise, mineral powders are free from preservatives and are less likely to irritate the skin. You should also avoid a waterproof mascara as harsh cleaners are required to remove it which can be especially irritating for the skin.
